Being able to fully relax body and mind is an important part of any cleansing and healing program, and for healthy living in general.
When we truly relax, and for digestion to take place, the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) is activated, also referred to as the mode of “rest and digest”.
An important connection to understand is that – Stored toxins will only be released when the PNS is activated.
With today’s busy lifestyles, where we are responding to mini-emergencies throughout the day, we operate mostly with an overactive sympathetic nervous system or “fight-or-flight response”. When we eat in this state, it causes improper digestion of foods and toxins to build up, which over time develops into more chronic digestive conditions like IBS and Crohn’s etc.
Learning and incorporating simple relaxation techniques proves tremendously beneficial to handle everyday stress and can benefit digestion. Through practice, we learn to stay connected to our center and Be with what is and not get tossed around by life’s circumstances.
Yoga Nidra is a guided form of meditation, that brings us into deep relaxation.
The receiver, lying down comfortably, is in a 40 minutes session guided through a series of easy-to-follow Body, Breath and Awareness techniques. It is a sweet, gentle yet powerful practice that has long been practiced in India, where it is referred to as the “Sleep of Yogis”. In this very relaxed state, body physiology and chemistry is scientifically proven, to heal and restore to optimal functioning.
We also work with life affirming intentions that are implemented at a very receptive time, making it possible to shift deep, otherwise hard to let-to-off, conditionings and patterns.
